Call of Duty

Profile

General: From the creators of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, comes one the greatest WWII FPS games ever. You play through the American campaign, and then the British, and then Russians after that. You are going to take part in DDay Invasion, Berlin, Stalingrad, and many more. You can drop into prone position behind different obstacles to become unnoticeable, aim your weapons through the sight, and fight along your squad. Band of Brothers, the HBO special, was said to be an early inspiration for the making of Call of Duty. This game uses a heavily modified Return to Castle Wolfenstien engine, which was based from the Quake 3 engine from id Software.

Comment: This FPS game is short, but sweet, like chocolate. Single player is a blast. Every single level feels like a trip to the movies. Every level feels epic, except the British one where you get to blow up a dam and kill like 50 people all by yourself. Most of this game makes you feel insignificant like when one of the soldiers hand you ammo instead of a gun and expect you to just help the others with weapons. It's a good feeling. Multi-player is a little unbalanced, because the sniper rifles are so powerful. I think this is my favorite WWII game. This makes Medal of Honor: Allied Assault seem so insignificant. I enjoyed this more than Battlefield 1942, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein also.
